When you throw a party, just talk to your neighbors before and you'll generally be fine. As long as you don't do it every weekend and turn the music down after 10 or 12, a neighbor will just talk to you directly and kindly ask you to tone it down a little when it gets late. Only after the neighbor has already shown up twice at your door to complain will the police show up and give you a last warning before they fine you.

in Germany there are also some people who sell their kitchen if they want a new one for themselves.

and thats the reson why thhe kitchens are usually taken. you buy them so you want them at least a certain amount of years . like every other item that you buy .... you do not throw them away after just 1 use only or 1 week, --- for example shoes .

Why the street comes first?
Well the postacl code is read autommatically, so the letter is sorted in the right district.
There the postman takes the letters and sorts them according to the street and then according to the number. As he / she knows, where he / she enters the road, from the highest to the lowest or lowest to the highest number or may be even oddnumbers first and then even numbers, when they start on one side of the street and will go back on the other side of the street.
So the address is sorted from the smallest issue "name" to the bissgest issue "country".

Tiny houses are more modern. It is a way of life, where people want to use only small space, have only few things. Usually for singles and often for people who really want to have a very little eco footprint.

Usually the noise level is very low around 12:00 to 14:00 (lunch rest) and in the night from 22:00 to 06:00 so everyone gets enough sleep.
If you want to party, as it is you birthday or wedding or similar, you first anounce it to the other residents and often you invite them as well. But if someone wants to feel disturbed by that noise, and you don't have a good relationshio, this guy may call the police, and they show up and order you to turn down the noise on room level, so you don't here it outside. And if they have to show up a sencond time, they even might to shut down the party.
But that is in fact rare and usually only applies if you have a bad relationsship to (even only one of your) neighbours or if you do it too often.

Germans love their "peace and quiet" and we have many regulations and laws around that, because so many of us live in apartments. There are regulations about when lawn mowing, drilling and playing instruments is allowed. On the other hand, when an elderly Karen sued her neighbors and their loud children, a German court ruled that kids have the right to be kids and people have to tolerate that.

If you invite all the people to your house party, there's no problem😊

"Endrenovierungsklauseln" (the obligation to renovate when you move out) are not legal, as by a court ruling. So you may have that phrase in your contract, but the Federal Court of Justice has decided that they are null and void.

But you may still have to renovate in case you leave the flat in such a terrible state, that it would be impossible for the landlord to rent it out again without major work being done. It's a complicated issue and one that regularly ends up in courts.

I am a 40+ german and I've never seen or heard of these "tiny houses" < I actually just know of them because of the video you've reacted to.
So I googled it: There are only around 500 of those tiny houses in Germany and you are, by the way, not allowed to live in them permantly.

Really, "tiny houses" don't really exist in Germany. They are just some crazy idea of some few mental idiologists. Greetings from Berlin!

Why do English-speaking countries list the postcode AFTER the city name? It's all just a matter of tradition. In theory you don't need the city name at all, because the postcode is already accurate enough.
Tiny houses are the representation of a somewhat minimalistic lifestyle. It makes perfect sense if you want to focus on other things in life than maximizing material wealth. For many Germans, having free time and being flexible is much more important than earning bucketloads of money. As always it's a very personal decision, so there is no objective right or wrong.
I also don't like squishy or square pillows. Mainly because I prefer very firm pillows (and I mean VERY firm). It is actually quite hard to find very firm pillows in Germany because most people just take their square pillows and fold them over once or twice. Again, a personal preference.
Regarding noise, that's a special thing in Germany. We value silence. Part of that is, I think, our mindset of: Your freedom ends where mine begins. Which I think is fair enough. Sort of like: Don't do unto others what you don't want to be done to yourself.

Alot of cases, cou can rent a flat with a kitchen, it depend of the area. In almost allcases the Landlord don'giveyou the flat officiell with the kitchen, becausehe have to pay and organice the repair or change items. Now their are basicly 3 cases.1. Rent a house in a cheap area he give it for a symbolic price. 2 a normal area, a normal and in big Cities often fantasy Prices like 20000€, because ge know, you would pax every price ypu can however pay, just for a rent contract. Yes, even Germany is not a phantasia. But the best is, you find friends, maybe some know most people here are not heartless. One tip: Please lern, a little it of our language, oiherwise, if you are only speak English, we feel colonized. especially if we know that they have been living here for a long time. You will be welcome.
