Fun City Adventure Park (Blackwood NJ), 4K arcade walkthrough & tour, July 2024

Another self-styled indoor "adventure park", Fun City in Blackwood is geared more towards older kids and teenagers with a mixture of activities including bumper cars, a ropes course, trampolines, foam pits, and the like. In addition to that, they have a decently sized arcade section with machines supplied by Sunstar. Unlike most other installations, these ones can either use Intercard game cards, or you can pay-per-play using your own credit or debit card. (You'll get a better deal in the long run with a game card than swiping your CC on each and every machine, though.)

Gamewise, what can you find here? There's a fair amount of claw machine set on play-till-you-win mode, which means they're a bit more expensive than usual but at least you're guaranteed a prize. There's a few redemption games that are set to entertainment mode only; you won't win any tickets because there's no prize counter to be found here. So if you want to practice your Down The Clown or Ice Ball skills with nothing to show for it, go for it. Surprisingly, they have a King Kong of Skull Island VR unit, as well as a 2 player Halo cab. Super Bikes 3 and Nitro Trucks are here, but only one machine for each game, so you can't get any real racing action going. The biggest and nicest surprise is that they have a StepManiaX machine on site here, and it's up to date with all the latest songs. It's in pretty good condition overall, and the real shocker? It's UNLIMITED SONGS. So if you're looking for a place to grind out some full combos, this is the spot!

Crazy all that money spent on machines yet leaving the floor looking like raw concrete ? Surprised it hasn't got epoxy it look x100 better
