Iowa cemetery takes out personal ad for goose whose mate died

Blossom the goose lived on a pond at a cemetery in Iowa with her mate, Bud. When Bud died, the cemetary staff saw Blossom's grief and decided to help, in the form of a personal ad. Steve Hartman shares more in "On the Road."

That is just the sweetest story! My eyes started tearing up at her loss. My hub died in September of 2021, two days after my birthday. He started really going downhill the week before he died. For some reason I couldn’t bear the thought of him dying on my birthday so I asked God not to take him on that day. I know it probably sounds selfish but He graciously granted my prayers and I got to have 2 extra days with him. I can definitely relate to this poor goose’s grief! Glad she found a partner!

This is a wonderful story. Kudos to those people who brought them together.
I certainly feel for them. I lost my wife in May 2020. So I do understand their loneliness.
I am sure they will be with each other for the rest of their lives. I believe that animals have the capacity to love.
