All Autobot deaths in Transformers G1

I apologize for any discrepancies or confusion made in this video. Some of these are speculation from online forums and others were either included in the film or the storyboards. My apologies, as I had not fact checked all of these deaths when I initially made this video, but next time I’ll try to do better when making new content.

This was from when I was getting my start out and I was enthusiastic to try and make a video like this since I saw a bunch of videos like it so I wanted to try it out for myself. But I ultimately had no experience doing it and didn’t know how to organize and where to get my info so I turned to the original material and to the Internet.

I hate just how many of the original cast they killed off. I mean, as far as I remember, bumblebee, jazz and cliffjumper are probably the only surviving members of the 1st season bots

What is worse is that the reason they were killed off was because the toy company wanted to make room for new transformer toys. So instead of giving them a proper send off they decided to kill them off.

I can't imagine how sad it must have been for the dinobots that their creators and companions died in brutal ways (even though the dinobots always caused problems for the autobots, it must still have been painful to hear about their losses)

The way I look at it is this if theres a certain character that I did not see die, even a storyboard sketch of them being killed, or hear mentioning of them being killed in the G1 86 movie, to me they are still alive, just because we don't see certain characters in Season 3 that doesn't necessarily mean they died, just weren't being used anymore in the series. Besides didn't Grapple, Hoist, Inferno, Sunstreaker, Skids, Smokescreen, Tracks appear in Headmasters to me they survived the movie. The only characters I can say, they died in movie were 1. Brawn, 2. Prowl, 3. Ratchet, 4. Ironhide, 5. Wheeljack, 6. Windcharger, 7. Huffer offscreen death as mention in Dark Awakening, 8. Mirage storyboard sketch death, 9. Red Alert, storyboard sketch death, 10 Trailbreaker, storyboard sketch death, 11. Optimus Prime those are the ones I can say they were killed off in the movie.We didn't see Hound, Tracks, Grapple, Hoist, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Sideswipe Sunstreaker, Devcon and the Female autobots die so to me they survived.

Tracks and Sideswipe didn't die in the storyboard. There might have seen another btt there. Sunstreaker was never shown dead, neither.

Other than Huffer, who we found out died later, and Gears, who we know was eaten by Unicron and didn’t escape with Bee, Jazz, and Cliffjumper, none of them but the ones shown to be killed were actually killed. There were Storyboards of Mirage, Red Alert, and Trailbreaker being killed, but those aren’t considered canon. According to story supervisor Flint Dille “if you didn’t see em’ die, and you don’t have a body, you have no proof of death.” Smokescreen, Sideswipe, Hound, and more would even go on to appear again in The Headmasters.

Fun fact most of these characters who didn't actually die in the movie appeared in season 3 and the sequel series the headmasters...unless your wheeljack who made a clone

I watched TFTM at school when it first came out on VHS... In class! I was 10 years old at the time and had a big Transformer collection - most of them Autobots. That movie fucked me up and I had nightmares for weeks.

I hugged them to sleep, especially IronHide. I fucking hated Megatron for years after what he did.

TFTM to 10 year old me was like an R rated horror story.

Hound actually continued his career in the 1987 Transformers G1 Japanese series “Headmasters”.
