Making Wooden Brushes With Natural Tampico Bristles

Inspired by the brushes I saw Anna Robinson and Aspen Golan making I ordered a box of brush fibres a few years ago now. I've made a few brushes since then but it took me a long time to get around to making this video!

I spent a lot of money renovating my workshop and decided to make some things to sell at a market and thought maybe I could sell some brushes, I made a few different types. Round brushes that I turned on my lathe made from Rimu. What I call a bench brush is one of my favourites around the workshop, I made one for myself a few years ago and use it all the time. I made a bunch of mini brushes too which would be great for artists, architects and engineers sweeping eraser dust etc from their drawings or for jewelers sweeping up valuable gold dust.

Check out Anna and Aspen on instagram to see more of their incredible work or to check out more brush making tips from Aspen!

And follow me if you'd like to see more of what I'm up to in the workshop!

I enjoyed watching this video because it gave me a lot of information in a very short time.
