Thank you for the lesson. Some additional insights:
1. эта новость взбудоражила общественность (=this news agitated the community): here we are using the perfective verb взбудоражить (=to agitate) from the imperfective/perfective pair взбудораживать/взбудоражить.
2. за последние пять лет в россии увеличилась численность населения (=in the last five years, the quantity of population in Russia increased): here we are using the perfective verb увеличиться (=to increase, to gain) from the pair увеличиваться/увеличиться. In this sentence, the preposition за means during and is followed by the accusative.
3. бразильская валюта называется "реал" (=the Brazilian currency is called "real"): here we are using the imperfective verb называться (=to be named) from the pair называться/назваться.
4. улучшать (=to improve) is the imperfective verb from the pair улучшать/улучшить.
5. они организовали концерт на бюджетные деньги (=they have organized a concert on public funding): here we are using the verb организовать which is biaspectual: it can be used in the imperfective aspect but also in the perfective aspect. In this sentence, the perfective sense should be preferred. To be noted that this verb has yet also an imperfective version организовывать.
6. я никогда не забуду вчерашний день (=I will never forget yesterday's day): here we are using the perfective verb забыть (=to forget) from the pair забывать/забыть.
9. Не обижайся, я шучу (=don't be mad, I am joking): first, we have the imperfective verb обижаться (=to be offended) from the pair обижаться/обидеться. Then we have the imperfective verb шутить (=to joke) from the pair шутить/пошутить.
10. кто забыл здесь ботинки (=who forgot the boots here): here we have the perfective verb забыть (=to forget) from the pair забывать/забыть.
11. уменьшать (=to reduce) is the imperfective verb from the pair уменьшать/уменьшить.
12. хранить (=to keep safe) is an imperfective verb with no perfective pair.
13. вы готовы дать показания в суде (=are you ready to give evidences to the court): готовы is the short adjective of готовый (=ready). дать (=to give) is the perfective verb of the pair давать/дать. показания is the accusative plural of показание.
14. уносить (=to take away) is the imperfective verb from the pair уносить/унести.
15. повесить (=to hang) is the perfective verb of the pair вешать/повесить.
17. трогать (=to touch) is the imperfective verb of the pair трогать/тронуть.
19. закрывать (=to close) is the imperfective verb of the pair закрывать/закрыть.
