This video is another kind of personal one to me, connected to the song (which I hold so dear to me) and it came out of emotions and struggles I've been having with my health the past year. I'm just so thankful to the amazing people in my life who have really been there for me. Nothing is more beautiful than that. I would just dedicate this video to all of you but this edit hasn't got the right sort of mood for that maybe, haha :-)

I also noted that I'm not the first editing Snape to this song. So all respects to previous editors who did that. I wanted to try and do my take on it.

There’s a few things I thought I'd say as well. First of all, I am not a very “shippy” person when it comes to relationships. It happens very seldom nowadays that I will wave my hands for any pairing while shouting how perfect they are. I might shout a few times but not about their 'perfection' haha. Nor am I this kind of person when it comes to characters on their own. I wouldn’t fight anyone over Severus Snape because I, just as you who would fight me, see the errors in his ways sometimes. When I make a video out of something, I mean to tell a story, not to glorify everything about whom that story surrounds. It’s obvious that to convey a side to something I have to pick parts to strengthen what I want to say but that in no way means that I myself am blind to the problematic side of the character/s. I understand that it is a common thing to go crazy for your loved character and defend them at all costs. I am not that person. Severus Snape is a problematic character who has elements to his story that I find interesting to portray when editing. I don’t justify everything that Snape stands for in this series, as for some parts, I do. Mainly I just enjoy to edit and convey feelings and Snape is one bag of different emotions to me. When I say “this is my favourite” about something, I never mean to say “this one is flawless, perfect, don’t do wrong”. This is my take on A PART of a story that I know has other sides to it. I simply find Snape interesting to edit and the whole point in editing this for me is to highlight both light and darkness in this story that I like, not to argue about perfection or to take sides. I am also so moved by Alan Rickman’s contribution to Harry Potter as Snape and if that isn’t worth a celebration then I don’t know..¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As for HP, I hope to do something with Dumbledore eventually. It just have to take it's time, I guess. I THINK that next up on here will be: Arthur Shelby.

From being a gryffindor most people would think I didn’t like Severus Snape, but he was one of my favorite characters.

snape is clearly the best character in all HP series. he had the hardest role in this war, enslaved by two masters - especially dumbledore who played with his feelings and culpability towards lily’s death to make him do what he wanted. i totally agree that i was interested in dark arts, but i believe it was only because he wanted to know more about magic in general. how can you fight the enemy if you don’t know their weapons? and plus, he made terrible mistakes, but he had the worse life. he was abused by his father, his mother was killed by him when he was a kid, bullied by the maurauders and rejected by his only true love for an insult that he said under circumstances (he was humiliated in front of the school for god’s sake, and she couldn’t pardon him for a simple word??? i am sorry, but lily didn’t deserved him, she just wanted to get rid of an embarrassing friendship). i won’t say more about him because i could make an essay on the complexity of this character, but you can’t say he was a bad person. he was a good man who, beaten by life, chose firstly the dark side but then come back to the light. and this is something that only a few people could do.

Pause at 0:45 or at 3:24. Snape’s face says everything. My heart always cracks when someone calls him a coward. I’ve always loved McGonagall, but I was so pissed at her in this particular moment. I feel so sorry for him, because no one understood him, but they still judged. A lot of bad things happend to him and I still can’t believe that he handled it. Also a lot of times I have that feeling that he’s about to break down. Even tho Sirius and Remus were basically bullying him when he was younger, he was still helping them with spying for Order of the Phoenix and bringing important info, not to mention the fking horrifying "job" as a spy. He protected Hermione, Ron and Harry in front of a werewolf, even tho he HATED them. He wasn't weak, he was strong for too long. I wish everyone would know the truth honestly, the truth, that without him Harry would be dead. Because of the fact that no one knew anyting about his life, they were so damn mean to him.

I love how Alan apparently knew snape’s story from jk Rowling from the beginning so every emotion shone through from Alan was fantastic especially when he was dealing with Sirius and remeus.

Snape is the best and always will be. Snape had suffered so much. He always was a savior for Harry. He also protected Draco. He risked his life everyday to save Harry. My Favorite Character. He showed us love is to be done always. He was always misunderstood. He was bullied. He showed us never judge a book by its cover. RIP Severus Snape. RIP Alan Rickman. You will be our hearts forever.

I was quick to fall in love with Snape and people need to understand that he’s not the bad guy. He always protected Harry, and when Dumbledore said “Severus, please..” it didn’t mean “don’t kill me”, it meant “kill me”. Snape just obeyed, and he’s been through so much, just give the man a break. I’ve cried because of this character and he’s inspiring, really. He’s showing us that we can make it through whatever crap life throws at us just like he did, and he pretty much teaches the importance of life. He’ll be my favorite Harry Potter character, always. Take what has happened in the movies and books and piece it together. He may be working with the death eaters but he’s a double spy, and if you loved someone so much, saw their dead body, and had to protect their child for their sake, would you be able to handle all of that? It would be hard to, because he never stopped loving her. He’s a hero for working things out and holding it in for this long, he’s honestly one of the bravest people in the series, and he’s amazing. I’m thankful for having known this character throughout the series.

I feel so guilty for not liking him throughout most of the films, but during quarantine I started watching the films and reading the books and I'm happy to say, he's by far my favorite character ever. I can relate to a lot in his life. I could write a book on its own about Severus Snape. What a masterpiece...
