Just ordered the endura in k390. Can't wait to get it on the stones when it comes in, and see what kind of edge I can get.

Great job. I just sharpened s90v for the first time and that was quite the learning experience

Great job on keeping the bevels even. As a newbie that is a struggle for me. 👍

Awesome! I'm just learning freehand from the kme system and was planning on do my endura k390 soon it does have a small chip but idk if il sharpen it first on kme and get coil area fixed from factory or just to try freehand right away 🤔

Im starting to get into freehand stone sharpening! Its so difficult! Untill now i just re sharpen with the Worksharp Elite system! Then maintain with a Spydie Sharpmaker!

(i do 20° DPS micro convex for everything not Powdered, Powdered steels get 17° DPS micro convex on Norax belts up to ~1k grit then stropped)
(Then i Maintain with the Spydie Sharpmaker at 20° DPS untill i damage the edge beyond sharpmaker)
(High carbide steels i finish on 400 Grit for maximum carbide teeth)

Nice work, I only have DMT when it comes to diamonds on bench stones. I would like to upgrade to the set up you have here. Also have a upgraded Wicked edge pro that I had since first GEN but really need to hone in on my free hair skills.

i dont understand why you even use WE!? You are pretty good freehand..I wanted to ask how do i clean these stone? (I will receive my edge pro venev in one week and since i never used resin bonded stones i want to ask if its recomended to lapp them before use)

You think the venevs are worth it over diamond plates? I don’t mind my diamond plates but I LOVE my shapton glass stones...they’re just too “soft” for super steels, obviously. I’d love to be able to get into that ballpark with diamonds and these seem like the best bet...they’re just so new to the market....

I like to fold the paper over so it makes a U upside down if that makes sense and cut into that. If an edge doesn't have bite, it can slide across without biting in.

Why do some folks run their knives edge down across a brick or diamond stone to evenly dull apex before sharpening? Fatigued steel? I found myself doing it as well, I’m sitting there wondering why I am doing it, only because I seen people do it 🤔 or because I know I need to knock this fatigued steel down before I sharpen this factory edge or my heavily used sharpened edge I’m still not sure why I do it🤷🏻‍♂️

Who makes that stone holder that clamps to the sink? Thanks.

You ever strop with basswood or balsa wood instead of leather?

About to attempt sharpening a k390 police with a lansky lol

The only downside to k390 that I have found is that it rusts very easy.
