An elderly Czech homesteader told me they copied embroidery by covering it with tissue paper and rubbing it with a spoon that they had run through their hair which generally was kept in place with goose grease.

Civil War Quilts were my first love. I am 70 yrs young, so you know how long I have been following some of you. I had an observation on the "death" quilt. I noticed three semaphore flags near the American flags. Does the arrangement of those flags convey any message?
