WHY. Why did Heather feel the need to point out that "the rich" was disproportionately white and male? She lost me right there. It's totally irrelevant to everything else being discussed, but extremely relevant to where she is arguing from...

It is a shame that Epstein did not mention the crucial fact that entitlement spending can cause the 'crowding out' of savings and thereby cause real wages and total factor productivity to stagnate.There are often unintended consequences to policies in the form of dead weight loss and opportunity cost.
