Hotel Review: Mara Hotel, Ilmenau, Thüringia, Germany - June 2016.

This was my second stay at this hotel, my first stay being a year ago. I find this hotel to be extremely convenient for Ilmenau railway station, which is the hotel's greatest advantage. The hotel itself is very Motel One style, albeit with a different colour scheme.

I liked the bedroom, and the hotel in general. The breakfast buffet was decent, and the staff were excellent. My main negative about the Mara Hotel, is that for a new hotel, it seems crazy not to have air conditioning. Whilst Germany isn't the hottest country in the world, it does get very warm in Summer, making the hotel bedrooms a little uncomfortable.

This film features exterior shots of the hotel, the lobby, reception, bar, lift / elevator, third floor corridors, a detailed room inspection of room 331 including the view from the window and the bathroom, views from the third floor, the restaurant and breakfast buffet.

I would stay at this hotel again, but I would probably opt to do so in Winter, or at least not during the Summer months.
