This is the only video I could find that shows how the throttle and pitch works to fly 3d! I've looked for a while!

6th channel is for the gyro, the pitch curve is handled by the radio, and the collective pitch channel, the same as throttle and throttle curve. It is used differently among various models but most of the time it's to select between head-hold and Free Flight mode. so you're list is right, but the sixth is just for Gyro, which only some models have and none actually need, which is why it is excluded on a few of the cheapest and many older cp helis.

Yes but when you say pitch curve, this is just "Collective pitch" which is one of the 5 channels I stated. It tilts the blades collectively to make it go up and down.
The relationship between throttle position and collective you are saying is still only using throttle and collective pitch which is 2 of the 5 channels I stated. The transmitter handles the relationship.

You say this is 6 channel, but I only count 5.
1 - Cyclic Roll (Left/Right)
2 - Cyclic Pitch (Forward/Backwards)
3 - Collective Pitch (Up / Down)
4 - Yaw/Rudder (Rotate),
5 - Throttle (Main Motor Speed)
You count "up/down" and "pitch" in this video as separate channels but I think you have done a double up here as they are the same thing.
I point this out as I'd like to know what the 6th channel is for because the manual states these helicopters need 6 channels.

so in standard flying mode, 'non 3d' you can only have positive or up pitch with the throttle?
