For those of you wondering if you need BIOS update.
I just build a new PC today oct 1st 2021. Ryzen 5600g and MSI b450m bazooka wifi. As it turns out. The system does post and brings you to bios so you DO NOT need an old CPU to update it. Simply have a flash drive with the new bios version and update it

I did something like that this year, but it was in the Asrock X300 mini PC and with a 4750g APU. I am happy with it. I have gone mini PC since last year. I still have the desktop with a 12c 16t AMD CPU and a 2070 RTX, but will only use the desktop when a new AAA game I may want to try comes out.

hey would a ASUS Prime B450M-A II work with 5600g? im nervous about bios updating so im looking for a board that works out of the box with 5600g or if a last resort ill go with one that has bios flashback but it would help a lot
