AMD chip with no Video card, can only assume using an APU. May want to mention that otherwise any other AMD chip will not post with video without a GPU.

I remember telling my electronics instructor that there was no risk of electrocution because the voltage is too low. He smiled and said, I'm not worried about you, I'm worried about the piece of equipment you're working on. Static discharges will ruin your day.

Just has to be conductive doesn't need to be a screwdriver it also doesn't need to be insulated not enough power to hurt someone can go through the Mb.

You can buy a temp pin jumper wired to a switch on Amazon for $6. One with a pci slot adapter, lights and a reset button is $9.

The first time I did this I stumbled upon it by accident and I felt like a god damn electric wizard.

I guess I’ll not get a tower and use that money towards more rgb components like cpu fans and rgb rams

I was concerned when he said power plus minus....but I even downloaded the manual and he is right. Please keep in mind if you do this....most (dear lord I hope) motherboards won't have a plus minus for the switch there is no polarity for the button, on all my asus boards it just says powerbtn....the power + led and power -led are polarity specific and should not be shorted.

You could just put a couple of connectors wired to a normally open switch.
