This sweet girl has endured many C-sections that caused her to go into critical care after her spay surgery. This emergency case had us all on our toes!

Sunday is a Frenchie who was surrendered after she began throwing up extreme amounts of blood. She was rescued by Caitie's Foster Fam rescue partner and rushed to the vet, where the doctor diagnosed her with acute hemorrhagic diarrhea syndrome, which is rapid onset causing severe gastrointestinal irritation and likely stripped her of everything. Thankfully, it is considered treatable!

Sunday was supposed to spend a few days in the hospital on fluids, IV antibiotics, and vitamins. Rescuers were hoping for a quick trip where then she could be back home with her foster mom to continue healing and be in a comfortable space with plenty of TLC. All was going according to plan and even was set up with her future adopter, until...

Sunday declined a few hours after her spay. The vet said her uterus was full of adhesions, and she’d clearly had c-sections. They were cautious and slow-going with her spay. Her decline happened quickly, and she was rushed to the emergency hospital.

When she got to the emergency vet, they found free fluid in her abdomen so requested opening her back up to check for any bleeders. Sure enough, as soon as they opened her, they found a large blood clot that was ligated but was bleeding still. They said it is not any surgeon’s fault but she had such a rough uterus, to begin with, that it just happened. They were able to clip it quickly and stop the bleeding.

Her expression shows a depth of hurt that is unfathomable. Sunday is the sweetest and most gentle girl imaginable, even the horrific abuse she endured, couldn't break her kind spirit.

No creature deserves to be abused, and we will do everything in our power to show Sunday that she is worthy of love, please see her vet bills for the surgeries and vet follow-up appointments - even though she is set for adoption, rescuers are still needing to fundraise for this sweet girl!

Humans who treat animals like garbage and treat them like crap don"t deserve the light of day themselfs . This is why Its so important to have a worldwide animal rights and protection law so NO animal gets abused and mistreated or dumped ever again and humans get punished for humans cruel behavior.
