The moment he asked why I knew the answer. Mid tempo songs are so tough, especially when the dynamic changes are so big.

The last part was actually a lot more wholesome than I was expecting

I love how proud Butch has always been with the production of Nevermind.
He never seems to shy away from the repetitive interviews.

Broke his heart... but only for one day!
Resilience like that is useful if you want to have a long career.

This is the greatest side of youtube! Thank you Rick for bringing us music nerds a seat at the table of listening in on conversations from our heros, talking about the music they love!

I used to practice to a metronome daily, and even now if I get stressed, metronome and practice is one of my best relaxation tools.

Dave is a true professional musician. Plays many instruments. His first Foo Fighters album was actually just him. There was no Foo Fighters band yet when he recorded the album, it was just him playing and recording everything. This story shows how flexible and adaptable he is and how willing he is to take advice instead of throwing up a wall of attitude like most people do. A true pro. One of my favorite musicians ever, not because of his music, which I do like, but because of the man he is.

I remember hearing a live version of Lithium and it was noticeable how they sped up and played at a totally different tempo from the album version, so this makes total sense.

This is grade A content. This man is bringing so much light to all my favorite music.

The fact that Dave could pull this off, even though he never used it before is telling, because playing on a click is not as easy as it seems, especially if you’ve never done it before.

As much I liked Nirvana and the Pumpkins back in the early 90’s - I really Loved Garbage. Butch Vig’s 90’s band was really top notch.

I was 12 years old drawing and assembling model cars in my bedroom, listening to a cassette tape of never mind front to back over and over again for an entire summer. I’m so proud to say I’ve been a fan that long.

This story is such a jewel that none of us would never know about unless Butch decided to share it with us. ❤❤❤

Even though dave was hurt he took it home, got it right and played to the click track and we're all happy now.

So sad that we didn’t get to see Kurt become older. So much music for the fans gone forever. Most importantly his family though
