The sponge of this cake is EXCELLENT, texture is 10/10 moist and soft! Seriously good recipe! I measured with grams cause she did I think that made it even better.I will use this recipe again with chocolate next time because i think I’ll enjoy even more than strawberry. The icing is way too sweet, be warned! definitely will use a lot less next time.

Sincere warning to everyone who wanted to make this cake, i just made it today, it’s my girlfriend’s birthday, i measured EVERYTHING to the gram according to instructions, everything seemed okay until i read 1150g of powder sugar, but i guess, who am i to judge, she knows it, right? I just wanted to make a freaking cake, it turned out to be unbearably sweet (i’m a person that can eat a lot of sweets, by a lot i mean A LOT. This cake is so sweet, starting from cake all the way to frosting, i mean 1500g of sugar in one cake... it taste as it sounds!

P.S. don’t get me wrong, i’m not here to hate the channel, i think you’re doing it great, editing, music, everything is great, and your voice is so pleasant to listen to, i’m just giving a warning to people that want to do something special for someone, and if they choose this cake, that special will be.... you get it..

I made this cake yesterday for my daughter's birthday. She specifacally requested a heart shaped strawberry cake with pink frosting. I followed the cake receipe to a T but for the frosting, I just added sugar until I felt the consistency was right but I also added a couple tablespoons of heavy whipping cream to make it a bit smoother. I did add the vanilla but I also added a little splash of strawberry emulsion. (I actually added that to the cake as well. I decorated with sliced strawberries all around the bottom edge and then rosettes and fresh strawberried on top. Everybody was blown away! My daughter said it was the best strawberry cake ever. So flavourful and "straberry-y"! From now on, this will be my go-to strawberry cake recipe for sure. Thanks for sharing!

Update: made this cake and it was disgusting as hell. I followed the instructions & ingredients perfectly, the recipe took almost 4hrs total. The cake was dense as HELL, not moist at all. I reread and made sure I did everything right. Big fucking flop.
