the truth is.. you really dont get how much of a legend yuzuru is unless you see him with some of the other skaters, skaters who are already considered the best of the world, and he still manages to stand out. when i started liking him, i only watched his performance. It was only when I watched everyone else that I had a deeper appreciation of his talent.

Yuzuru is such a freaking legend...I mean he's real king, the greatest of all times. You can see this passion in his eyes while skating, it's not even skating, it's real ART. Every look, еvery movement, music, costumes, everything is just perfect. But what amazes me most about him, is his attitude to his work. It can be seen, that it's not about medals, victories, worldwide popularity or anything else. One can feel that he really loves it. Figure skating wouldn't be the same without him. And I'm very grateful to him for what he does.

Yuzuru Hanyu to win the Gold Medal again with severe injury. It's even better than any inspirational movie. We are fortunate to be born in the same era with him. Just love to see him skate. Pure art!!

It always breaks my heart to see Dennis Ten & realize he had only a few months left on Earth. He was not only a wonderful athlete, but an excellent student who was preparing to do great things for Planet Earth. Tragic loss of a truly special young man. RIP Deniis. I know you are in Heaven doing quads and smiling down on us with those beautiful dimples :)

This man:
- survived from the earthquake in 2011
- leaving home to canada and struggling with communication at 16
- Asthma problems causing stamina issues
- asthma attack 2 weeks before winning 2017 worlds
- champion 3 months after an ankle injury that could’ve ruined his career
- and so so so many injuries


Yet he never stops trying, challenging, and being Yuzuru Hanyu. He’s truly the strongest fighter and never uses his weaknesses as excuses. He does everything to be the best of himself. GOAT

Yuzuru is born to be a legend of the ice. Long arms, long legs, soft body, fine and precise movement riding "on" the music and ice, and his sensitivity to the music sounds is astonishing. He always respects every piece of music and skating, and his appreciation of ice and everybody around the link. He creates his own skating zone where he is dancing with music melody and ice.

Interesting observation. I've noticed that the men tend to have less footwork and choreo because the elements they focus on are quads which are physically challenging. The women tend to have brilliant footwork and artistry. Yuzuru on the other hand seems to have a good balance of both artistry and athleticism.

Six years after this and I can still remember vividly what I felt the seconds before Yuzuru went for that jump combination... Heart in my throat, and when he landed and pumped his fists I swear I went boneless.

Unlike so many previous Olympic champions, Yuzuru continues to skate at a very high level. He loves skating and you can feel the emotion in his skates. Be grateful, that Yuzuru continues to skate! He is a once in a lifetime figure skater. Thank you, Yuzuru for blessing us with so many great skates and memories.

The biggest mystery was what Yuzuru Hanyu was capable of? Nobody knew. Well, except his team. And then he went on the ice and after the 4T+3T everybody yelled like crazy. That was awesome!
