A leak would be the best case scenario and a rather benign bug. Undefined behaviour can lead to literally anything, but the worst case (and not uncommon) is to leave the system exploitable to an attacker. Allowing reads to private memory, escalation of privileges, even arbitrary code execution.

Similarly, memory leaks and undefined behavior resulting from double-freeing memory could be present in poorly written Flash applications, but these issues were not unique to Flash and could be found in software written in other languages or using other platforms as well.

If you can get logs, crash dumps and the source code, then finding the issue shouldn't be difficult. Without enough application logs, it's very difficult to find it.
