my friend, but if dont detected in ubuntu how im going to format.I do using virtual box, and i do plug and nothing happend just in the host.

Just additional info. My computer wouldn't recognize the memory stick anywhere. I went into my terminal and typed lsusb without the stick, then typed lsusb to see if it would be recognized. That was the only place that would pick it up, it never showed up in gparted or in disks prior. After typing the above in terminal, disks finally saw the USB stick and I was able to follow TubeMints steps. Thank you!

How am i supposed to format it if it refuses to show and it isnt just the one usb its any usb refuses to show even in lsblk and blkid

Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS: Pen Drive detected when plugged directly into usb port. But, not detected when using a USB Hub. I don't have enought usb ports. I want to use a HUB to add additional usb ports. But, Hub is not detected. How do I resolve this issue?
