I can assure you - as someone who wears kimono as part of my usual wardrobe in Japan - nobody will knock you if you laugh loudly, cross your legs, dance, kick your kimono front out of the way when you walk fast or rest your back on the train seat. Kimono wearers are humans with human behaviors and human needs. Let’s not make wearing kimono some kind of fine-dining-with-the-Emperor occasion. I wore mine to hair salons where I sat with my legs crossed reading manga for an hour while getting a haircut. It can be that normal.

Really tempted by Zen market as wanting a sukajan jacket with both foxes and floral design. Plus info on kimonos are interesting ☕️🌸

I loved this video! I study Japanese (which I actually learned hiragana from one of your videos!😂❤) And I love learning about Japanese culture the most! Kimono is so pretty and I'd love to learn more about it's history ❤️
Also I am extremely clumsy and slightly afraid of stairs so I typically walk up and down stairs like that all of the time, no matter what I'm wearing 🤣❤️

I wonder how you can wash your hands without your sleeves getting wet.

こんにちはサイバーバニー I was wondering whether you could make a video on Mora? Also do Japanese houses (including apartments) have stairs? I'm asking because I want to move to Japan when I'm older, but I'm disabled 😢

Rabbu! What do we gaijin do when shopping for clothes in Japan! I want to buy clothes but I’m afraid I will be too big for them 😫

A lot of this just makes since for anyone in a dress with long sleeves. Don't stick your sleeve in your food, don't let your bum hang out. USA and England agree these are good rules.

Quick question… what if you have a physical disability that prevents you from say sitting on your knees, or bending without rounding?

Do men have the same social standards when wearing kimonos? (Sorry I'm not educated on the topic, this is my first time looking into kimono behaviours.)

are these rules the same for men or are there differences?

All of these rules beg the question: how prevalent is OCD in Japan? 😅

I know this is a super long shot, but you wouldn't by any chance happen to play Mario Kart 8, would you? There was someone with a mii in an online worldwide lobby that looked super like you, and I was just curious, as they were also from Japan 😅

I love your videos!
I'm doing a Japanese exchange program so it's great to learn more!
I was wondering though, can i wear the Kimono as a hijabi? or is that considered rude? What do you think? :D

Hi ! I would like to tell you about an error I saw before going to watch your video. I don't remember if it was in the title of the video or in the miniature of the video but there was written "hoari" (and I even thought it was something else) instead of "haori". So if it was in the title, it is ok, you already changed it. I just hope it wasn't in the miniature because it is more difficult to change that !

PS : thank you for your work and this video you made. I think it will be useful to many strangers to Japan. <3
