I love that Michael Jordan sits back in silence enjoying his retirement after 20 plus yrs while everyone else is still talking about him whether they like him or not. Speaks volumes

I saw MJ on his prime and i saw LBJ on his prime and for me is not even close, MJ is the GOAT by far.

There is literally no difference between Phil Jackson coaching the Bulls in 89 and Spoelstra coaching the Heat in 2010. Both were inexperienced head coaches who had never won anything at the NBA level.

There's a video on YouTube, I believe James Worthy being interviewed, where he shares that during LeBron's early/initial Cleveland run that the coaches - Silas & Brown, maybe - tried to implement a motion offensive system and LeBron only gave it a few games, then bucked and just forced the team to go back to the LeBron system. The league had begun moving into the motion/ball-movement system era (for winning/contending teams) and LeBron's coaches tried to help him, but he wouldn't embrace the shift. The reason is: LeBron is incapable of playing any other way. He struggles and we ALL know he's basically useless without the ball - doesn't know how to move efficiently. His fans don't like that to be pointed out and get very emotional. But it's true. Anyway, LeBron had a chance to turn Silas/Brown into a championship coach but didn't embrace a system that would've helped him do so. His bad!!!

Michael Jordan is the Gold standard for basketball in the NBA his accomplishments are beyond legendary I don't think there will ever be another player who could surpass Jordan as far as his determination and mental toughness were

The wildest thing about all of this is he gets the most hate from people who never actually watched him play. Imagine hating on a dude you never saw play but hate on because of a media driven agenda to keep a discussion/debate going.

Bron literally had two of the top 15 coaches under one organization in Miami with Spo and Riley and he took his ball and went home. I honestly believe Bron would have at least two more titles if he stayed in Miami. Riley would have got the right players and built the right TEAM around Bron and Spo would have demanded effort on both ends. But Bron and Klutch needs the run of the place, and Riley wasn't going to let that fly.

Another flaw in this is that lebron has been a free agent 3 times. If he wanted to play for a “great” coach he could’ve.

Only lebron fans are dumb enough to blame Jordan for utilizing, developing & building with the rookies on his team (pippen & grant)… while also blaming him for believing in his coach’s philosophy & allowing him to do his job, while he does his job on the court.

LeBum could never operate in the Triangle, that would involve him being able to play off the ball, which he sucks at doing.

Lebron has too many “worst” moments on his résumé. In 2022, the Lakers had their worst season in franchise history. Never before have the Lakers failed to meet expectations as badly as they did this yr. This season, the Lakers went 3 straight months without winning 2 games in a row. That tells me they straight up quit which is an indictment on their leader Lebron.

In 2014, Lebron took the worst beating in Finals history when the Spurs beat the Heat by a record margin of 70pts for the series. In the 2011 Finals, Lebron had the worst meltdown of any top 20 great in NBA History.

So Lebron has the worst meltdown, the worst Finals beating, and the worst Laker season on his résumé. That’s one of the many reasons why he’s not the GOAT to me.

Ty Lue is honestly underrated considering how much Lebron fans discredit his coaching

Phil was also an assistant on the Nets before joining the Don't recall the 80s Nets being a "juggernaut" either 🤷🏾‍♂️

Jordan Has Two 3-Peats With The Same Team…LeBum Has How Many 3-Peats?……I’ll Wait.

There is not one legit argument for Lebron being better than MJ. Credit to you brotha. I don’t even waste my breath on it no more. Lebron is the king of the beta male.

I haven’t heard the “great coach” argument yet but maaaan they’re grasping. The one I hear 95% of the time anyone tries to argue Lebron>Jordan is “having more rings isn’t the end all be all and that’s all you old heads have.” And then too often, that ignorance gets me and I end up wasting my time throwing down the hundreds of other reasons Lebron = GOAT it’s a totally made up narrative. And what’s funny is, I’m a die hard Cleveland fan. I was born in ‘86 and the Cavs of the early 90s were my first love. So, needless to say, MJ made me cry a few times. Then the Indians made me cry myself to sleep in ‘97. Then made me smash my phone into 300 pieces giving up a 3-1 series lead to Boston in the ‘07 ALCS. Then the Browns (enough said) Then Lebron takes his talents elsewhere, after disappearing vs the Celtics in an elimination game. But then 2016…oh my god, Lebron came back. He fulfilled his promise. And he got us a championship. And I loved him for it. But now, ironically, the championship I waited 30yrs to celebrate, is the thing that is giving this incredibly disingenuous and disrespectful narrative enough credence to be debated and fueled on every sports show. Without that Cleveland championship, this debate would be too outlandish for even ESPN to push out. But the reality is, I spent a decade wishing and hoping Lebron actually was >MJ. We had him for 11 full, healthy seasons. The Bulls, had MJ, for 11 full, healthy seasons. So my question is, if we drafted a player superior to Michael Jordan in 2003, and we had him for 11 healthy seasons, where the f**k are the rest of our championship banners?

Lebron Stans can't glorify him for ushering in the player empowerment/mobility era while simultaneously lamenting the "fact" that he never had a great coach. 1) He's had multiple great coaches (Spo and Lue) - 2) He could've played ANYWHERE HE WANTED! He had multiple chances to play for Popovich, but let's be real, he could never play for a coach like Pop. Pop actually coaches his stars; Lebron doesn't wanna be coached. We all know this. Furthermore these great coaches need tenure with great players to become all-time greats themselves. Lebron never stays anywhere long enough to cultivate those kind of relationships with any coaches.

Erik Spoelstra and Tyronn Lue are two of the highest regarded coaches in the NBA but Lebron has never had a good enough coach. 🙄

Eric Spolestra is arguably the best coach in the league. He’s always been highly respected by his peers. Lebron admitted Miami taught him the true game of basketball. Spo is going to the Hall Of Fame as well. That alone kills his argument
