That was incredible... not only the Benedict Cumberbatch narration, but the great montage of all those dramas! All of those actors that we love and admire in their fantastic parts showing why British cinematography (and TV as well) is one of the best in the world. Great work BBC!

I love Britain.

Even though i don't live there, their shows are just spectacular.
They're not like typical American shows which mostly all about dating and love.
British shows are so well made and theyre just amazing to watch! Your blood won't resist pumping hard through your veins when you watch them. I especially love the background music, it's the most dramatic.
British TV seems to be more about quality while US TV seems to be more about quantity.  Proportionally, the UK has better shows compared to the US, whereas normal TV shows have tons of crappy shows with a few gems.
If i wanted to have a movie marathon i would watch British shows instead.

P.S. I love how they added sheriarty in lovers omg and woah bens voice is so abSORBING I HAD FORGOTTEN HOW IT JUST PULLS YOU IN

Benedict Cumberbatch just gave a masterclass in reciting Shakespeare. Pure perfection! He's a truly brilliant actor. I bet his Hamlet performance is going to be THE Hamlet of the century. Damn, he's so good!

This makes me always so emotional and I don't know why. It's so epic. I listened to it a few times back then and I can still to this day quote all of that.

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then, the whining school-boy with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then, a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden, and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then, the justice,
In fair round belly, with a good capon lined,
With eyes severe, and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws, and modern instances,
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side,
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

I have read, acted, watched, quoted and listened to Shakespeare and his works for the majority of my life, and yet I think that it wasn't until the screen went black that I finally realized just how truly extraordinary the words that he wrote were.
