Taoism is a Chinese philosophy attributed to Lao Tzu which contributed to the folk religion of the people primarily in the rural areas of China and became the official religion of the country under the Tang Dynasty. Taoism is therefore both a philosophy and a religion. Taoism teaches to embrace wonder and the joy in living gracefully with style. Lao Tzu was an ancient Chinese philosopher and writer who is known to be the founder of Taoism. Self love is rooted in freedom. The freedom to change, to accept yourself, to be authentic...

“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”

― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

Loving myself comes down to how disciplined I am (self trust) and not what I do but why I do it. I do things for good reasons without expectation, I only share love, i never give it away. If I don't keep some, I am unable to truly love. I can adore, desire, lust or long for, but i can't love if I am incomplete in loving myself. I am scared of losing noone because I am comfortable with myself. I am in good company when I am alone. I don't need applause, nor do I need to talk about myself. I learn more from listening and feel even better about myself when I do which allows me to share even more love. I self cultivate love and share it with people who are like minded. I am not afraid to tell people no and I love toxic people from afar. I don't judge them, but i dont allow them to manipulate my energy not cause I don't have compassion for them, but because my love travels much farther with others who are willing to share it as well

As a song says, learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all. Self-love is not selfishness but rather a requirement to learn how to love others with compassion and understanding. It is a reflection of how you value yourself.

Thanks as always, Philosophies for Life. Your channel and videos deserve more subscribers.
