Any powerhouse will eventually lose to the Hulk if they won’t knock him out at his base level. Thanos knows this as well, you just don’t fight the Hulk in a head on fight.

In this fight, Gladiator is unaware of what Hulk is capable of, from his strength to his regeneration. He thought he knocked out Hulk with one punch, he never braced himself against the thunder clap, and that convenient nuclear plant is just too convenient.

If they were to fight again, I’m sure Gladiator would be more careful. But without a sure way to knock out the Hulk, Gladiator will still be defeated in the long run.

I think some clarification is in order as the post Onslaught Hulk was absorbing energy radiating from the Heroes Reborn universe Franklin Richards had created so The Hulk was steadily increasing in power the reason behind Hulk's rising power level had to do with Banner still being metaphysically connected to The Hulk so as The Hulk's power increased outside of the Heroes Reborn universe while inside of it Banner radiated gamma rays after becoming The Hulk inside of the Heroes Reborn universe.

This has to be some kind of amped up Hyperion in Heroes Reborn reality. The normal 616 Hyperion never should be able to kill Galactus and Hulk the way he did.

There is really no comparison because Hulk didnt have the Banner persona in him when he fought Gladiator and this is what was making that Hulk stronger.. Remember the landing of his leaps where causing craters..
