I received some Capri tools for review. In this videos I'll be looking at their new nut driver set, screwdriver set, combination pliers and cable cutters. So far these tools look pretty damn good.

I use insulated Knipex combination pliers instead of the new England style. When you are up on the grid iron 16ft up and you forget to bring your screwdriver or channelocks up with you, they are a godsend. Never going back.

Combination pliers are jack of all trades and master of Jack. A 9in or so lineman is always preferred short of these unique situations. Combination pliers are good for a homeowner, but it’s alway just a bit less than perfect for bigger jobs.

You're going to absolutely love the first time you pull out the combination pliers on a job. When you need them, they're great to have.

Just got my pliers today and they have a good amount of play in the pliers. They’re made in Taiwan and Taiwan does made good tools but I do have other Japanese pliers and they have zero play but those Capri ones do have play.

Even though I'm not yet an electrician, i'm still a student, but I like using the Milwaukee 6 in one wire stripper instead of using a dedicated stripper, lineman, and needlenose. It works in the shop class.

Klien also makes combination pliers. There great to replace linesman in your hip bag. You still want regulare linesman in your carry bag.

Not a criticism of your review or the tools themselves, as they seem decent. I just don't understand why people would buy Capri/Craftsman/insert made in Asia brand pliers when Channellock is so affordable. I mean, I get the knipex stuff, sure, is it that much better, IDK. I will be finding out soon though. And yes, I know Taiwan makes pretty good stuff. But c'mon, there's not many made in the US tools at affordable prices anymore, I feel like we should make that a consideration. Anyshit, cool vid, thumbs to the sky, just had to throw in a rant for some good ol merica pliers is all. Capri is definitely interesting, especially since gear wrench is shifting production to mainland China.

I just picked up their set of flex head ratchets. Pretty great tools for the price point.

I think it should be clarified that they simply don't make anything. They specialize as an importer of tools and marketing/packaging a brand image that's current, and social media savvy.

Don't know if it has been mentioned yet but there is a difference in use between NE nose linesman plierd and the European 'combination' pliers. I mean beyond the obvious noticeable size of the forging. I use Knipex but not the NE nose types they sell these days in America. The combi nose is absolutely more manoeuverable in tight spaces like narrow j boxes. I prefer it to be honest. Look at Knipex 02 02 225 or 02 05 225 models. The 05 vsriation is hard chrome plated and I use that one. Love it. Great video and thanks for the heads up on Capri.

if them combination pliers are anything like my knipex ones you're gonna love them making joints on wires isn't much different than a pair of Klein's but I love how they can ream a conduit real well, and are life savers on building racks, and cable cutters are great for mc like hospital grade or 12-4

I've never heard of Capri Tool but I'd really like to get my hands on those Combi-Pliers especially if they are forged in Japan

Definitely looks like high quality tools, I'd rather see tradesmen spend money on USA made tools tho.

Combination Pliers are simply a type of Lineman's Pliers. Basically they are Lineman's Pliers with a cutter. That said, many tool companies use both terms interchangeably.
