Really good content Christo. I was lucky. I found an instructor a year ago that encouraged me to keep my slight over the top move and it stopped years of struggle, heartache and frustration at no improvement. Now I just change my setup direction to hit a draw or fade and play golf.

I was comparing my hogan swing vs my Freddy swing on the course today like I do a lot and I was hitting solid shots with my hogan swing but pulling them a little, but it was consistent. I thought I must not be doing it right but then I realized hogan hit a touch of a pull himself. He aimed a touch right and had that little over the top move. Needless to say I’m putting the Freddy couples swing on the back burner and going with hogan. Just aiming a smidge right and hitting a super solid and consistent tiny pull. Helped my driver immensely

Most beginner golfers slice, amateurs as well, but their swings morph to an in to out with golf lessons; thus here comes the nasty hook. It’s an easy fix to smooth the in to out hook with a little OTT to get the player back on track. Instructors spend much of their time trying to help beginners get rid of the slice, therefore all the YouTube videos about No-No to OTT makes sense. You appeal to the more advanced player, which is why I enjoy your content. I’ve read Five Lessons multiple times, great man, Ben Hogan.

Thank you for this video, which clarifies my confusion about your Miracle OTT move 👍
Adding the word "slight" OTT makes this move easier to understand and is less alarming for someone like me who used to take the club back "WAY TOO MUCH" on the inside in the backswing.
By emphasising as you do in this video that the slight OTT move needs to come from a great position at the top of the backswing, makes PERFECT SENSE now.👍
So I'm off to try this Miracle move for myself👍👍

I now believe I understand why Mr. Hogan said he wished he had three right hands. With the OTT swing you really are throwing the club in the back of the ball to get maximum leverage. AND IT REALLY WORKS ! Thanks Christo..M.

Aloha, Cristos - mahalo for helping us all think out of the restrictive box, the industry has put us in.

I was initially struggling with the OTT swing, until a friend mentioned “it looks like your club is stuck behind you, why are you taking it so far backwards?” He took a vid, and sure enough, in an attempt to take the club “deep”, I was yanking the handle in without turning, too deep. So I tried using my old takeaway while swinging OTT and eureka - straight and longer.

Possibly, some of your golfers are like me - they were already taking their clubs deep, they just need to learn to try, and trust the MOTT move.

Great video and super analysis. It is a miracle. Id love for you to do David Duval, who for about 3 years was the best ball striker the world has ever known.

Thanks Christo for all the great videos. So is part of the hands over top move is to have the club head under top? Possibly you can do a video with hands/handle dot trace along with trace of the club head. So may be it is hands/handle over the top with club head under the top? Thanks again.

When I absolutely can not miss left I try to feel like I'm coming OTT. Generally it goes straight or maybe a tiny bit of fade. But on GC3 it still shows that I'm slightly in to out still although much less than usual. This is really an interesting journey you're on.

All the greatest swing OTT 😁 Even Moe Norman with his “single plane swing”, still made a slight OTT move and he talked about the back swing being “in and up”.

Christo!! Saw you the other day at Glen Oaks. Wanted to say hi but didn't want to bother you while you were training and working. Swing looks great! OTT ya you know me!

Worst part is all of the arrogant club pro's will never admit any of this. They need you coming back for lessons. It's a money game for them. They teach you a swing that requires you to practice a ton just to keep the motion. Time most people will never have. What the PGA of America pushes is garbage. Stay away from PGA club pro's. 99% of them think they know the golf swing. They don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Be really cool if you can do a video on your OTT. High level overview of grip, setup, backswing, transition and down swing. I know you have your online academy, but I would like to know more about the swing before joining. I am sure others are looking for the samething. Besides the above, great stuff!!!

I got definition of OTT swing now. I was confusing it with out to in swing. Mike Austin videos will help you alot in your OTT journey.

The OTT swing really doesn't work for me, I think I've already got a slight OTT move similar to yourself at 9:40. So the OTT feeling for me produces an excessively OTT swing. I ended up hitting lots of horrible slices and thin shots. I do like the feeling of pulling the club low and left through impact though.

As the butt end goes over the top, does the club head goes under the bottom? I was thinking of of a way to describe the divot. Thanks Christo

Honestly the reason teachers rail on OTT is not for decent golfers which I assume most here are. It's for new golfers who have little control of face or path. Nothing wrong with OTT if you can control these two areas.

Personally… I’ve been an OTT golf player for years. If you can be the one in a million to play consistent golf that way, go for it. It seems like you’re reaffirming bad swing mechanics - Tom Saguto has worked wonders for me and personally I prefer the tour model. Inside out swing plane

Christo, this video brings me to Hogan's "pane of glass" illustration in the 5 Lessons - he did not think he was swinging over the plane, thus the two planes, downswing being under upswing; however, as you show, clearly he was over, albeit to a small degree. I guess what he felt he was trying to do was not what he was doing. Was this part of his obsession with practice?
I know this move has minimized your range work - I wonder why it did not minimize his? Was he chasing something he could not put his finger on?

Even though the butt end of the shaft goes over the top, the club head shifts to under the plane. That's the hard part for most hackers like myself to achieve.
