Incredible Powerful Afterburners; Volkel Vipers Light the Fires. This is the title of today's video. This footage is made during the evening & night sorties of the F-16 Fighting Falcon of the Royal Netherlands Air Force at Volkel Air Base. The F-16's appeared at the holding point during sunset. Unfortunately the weather was quite cloudy and therefore no sunset shots were possible. But instead the burners of these Vipers would play a fantastic role in this video. Due to the dark weather and the upcoming evening, the afterburners of these Vipers would light up as never before, at least for me! In total eight F-16s would depart. In this film the first wave of four aircraft are shown. these four aircraft departed at 1700LT. Due to the darkness the burners would really light up. Personally I experienced this as incredible. Just sit down and enjoy the show. Don't forget to pump up the volume as the afterburners are very loud!!! ABSOLUTE AIRPOWER 💪💪

Mooie beelden weer. Indrukwekkende vlammen blijven het toch!!
Er werd inderdaad weer genoeg gevlogen de laatste avonden. Ze komen hier nagenoeg altijd recht over vliegen, helaas wel op ongeveer 6-8 km hoogte volgens de flightradar. Omdat het helder was kon ik dan wel soms de navigatieverlichting zien. Dan is het leuk om jou beelden te zien van deze hoogvliegers hier :)

Kleine correctie, de eerste twee waren King 1/2 en waren geen onderdeel van een 4-ship. De volgorde van departures waren nml. King1/2, Hammer1/2, Burst1/3 en Bonzo1. Sting en Razor hebben niet gevlogen die wave. Ten tweede hoorde ik op je film tower de police clearen om te landen op de 24 terwijl de chopper er al boven hing, beetje smokkelen t.b.v. de film :-) Helaas was voor jullie op die plek geen sunset te zien maar die was er wel degelijk, al was het maar een paar minuten vlak boven de horizon, die was te zien als je iets verder naar links stond. King1 viel het ook op en noemde het zelfs tegen zijn wingman, gek genoeg kon hij het wel zien vanaf dezelfde plek als jullie. Gelukkig vloog hij er recht door heen. Mooi gefilmd verder.
