As a FIFA Pro Junior Elite Referee, all of these laws are logical. Minimum 7 makes sense because it guarantees players a game, so long that they do not get 5 red cards. In addition, the corner flags allow the AR’s to determine whether or not a ball crosses the goal line or the touch line. A deflating ball going into the goal? This one needs clarification. If the ball deflates AFTER the ball has gone into the goal, the goal counts. If the Ball deflates while going into the goal, it does not count. This is logical and fair considering the goalie is at disadvantage in the perception of the ball. For an Indirect free kick, it ONLY makes sense that play result in a corner when the ball goes into the kicker’s goal without touching another player because an indirect kick requires another touch before going into a goal. Additionally, it also makes sense for a direct free kick because point of contact is reset, meaning that no named player can be awarded a goal from the kick except that of the kicker who was awarded the advantage. If the goal counted against the kicker, it would not suffice as an advantage for the team who was awarded a kick for unsportsmanlike or illegal actions committed against them. Nonetheless, the boundaries of the field allow for the opposite team to gain advantage from the opposing team’s error in the form of a corner kick. In short terms, a goal cannot be scored unless the scorer first obtains advantage such as through the control of the ball. By the goalie not controlling the ball, the goal cannot be counted.

The double kick rule where the ball bounces off the goal bars makes sense because any penalty taker could deliberately hit the bar for a second kick into the goal.
