Thanks Gordon. I subbed regular untoasted unslated sesame seeds for the black sesame seeds, and added sliced almonds instead of the Chile flakes, and used a cast iron pan, but followed the rest of the recipe (we almost never buy sourdough bread, but we had some) and this turned out really well. My better half, who wasn't feeling the best, loved it! Thank you, you helped make her day, so you made mine as well.

Everyone smears the avocado like butter on the toast. I love mine exactly like this. The avocado sliced lengthwise and laid over the toast 😍

Love this! Avocado toast is such a good base to experiment with different seasonings and flavors. Think I may make mine like this for now on, before I would’ve smashed the avocado, (more guacamole style) added some cream cheese, orange, lemon, and sesame seed.

Chili flakes really livens up the taste buds and is great addition to my recipe, and great to know how to know if the fruit is ripe or not and where to put pressure 👍

I have eecently become obsessed with lemon zest and lime zest. For those of you that have never tried this (in any recipe that requires it), I can promise you that you will not be disappointed. The flavor is superb!!

I stopped at the black sesame seed point, too complicated for my hurried morning breakfast. All this needs is salt, pepper, and lime juice on plain old toast. Simple, quick, and never overwrought.
