I just bought a Yz250fx (2019) yesterday. I pick it up Saturday. I came off a Yz250f (08) that I converted for trails (the best I could). I’m so stoked. I respect the 2 stroke, but I’ve been riding 4’s my whole life. I gotta stay with what I know. Started at 11 years old. Now I’m 48.

You are getting faster! I also notice your breathing better (clearer voice over) nice job! You would love it here in the north east really rocky technical single track ...TREES TREES TREES!

kyle, I love what your doing with the channel keep up the great work, I totally agree with the theory of going to smaller bikes and riding them closer to there potential. I went from a WR450 to a 250F. I ride close to where your at, I'm south end of the valley. I ride Payson and hobble creek frequently. I'm even considering the KTM 200 XC. I would love to see you do a review on that bike which I feel there is little quality reviews. I would also suggest on each ride posting a gps or location of where your riding (i understand if you want to keep some of your honey holes quiet) give me a shout if your ever heading south. keep up the good work.

I would say a 250 2 stroke is not a little bike but a 250 4 stroke could be considered a little bike. The peak HP of a 2 stroke 250 is around 8, 500 rpm and it's 10 HP more than the peak the 4 stroke can make at over 13, 000 rpm. It's closer comparable to a 125 2 stroke.

Yamaha should make an equivalent to the XC-W300 and also a yz125x like a husky TE125

the fuel injected four strokes are made for roll on power not chopping at the throttle and blipping it into corners

My mate has one of these now and he's quicker than I've ever seen him (he jumped off a Husaberg 300). In a straight drag with my '15 TE300 its on par till 80kmph, then my bike has the legs.
I gave the FX a short trial this past weekend in a (heavy) sand based coastal forestry ride, and in my opinion, it felt a bit top heavy and not as nimble as the TE (prob more 2vs4), but it was far more stable and planted at speed. Might be the suspension set up, but I could see why he could nail it over long sections of whoops, so plush! Great bike, he's really pleased with it.
BTW, really great to see how the channel is developing. You seem like a decent guy doing the thing we all love. I think your style resonates well with riders around the world, keep it up!

:)First thing first, let me say... I really enjoy your channel... You have inspired me totally when it comes to dirt biking, offroad and enduro!!I enjoy looking on every episode of your show.. and it´s really entertaining!!! But i have one little question for you... What kind of cameras do you use, in your programs? Im not talking about your helmet cams, but the ones you have in your garage, when you do your new episodes? It has great picture, and great sound! Why do i ask? Well... Im staring my own channel, and its gonna be filled with a lot of dirtbiking and offroad riding in my lovely country of Sweden! And i think its important that i have great picture and sound my self, if im doing a review of something.Hope for an awnser?Well... Keep it up man.. your doing a great show!Btw... Maybe you could do an episode of all your cams?  Brgrd Joacim from Sweden.. :)

From Chile. We have de yz 250 x, after the yz250. Amazing machine for enduro. Little thins make de difference.

We bought as second bike with my brother the yzf 250 fx really nice bike. Very permissive if your are learning. And today we have our first ride on the yzf450 fx. That thing make your nervous with that power. Is so much fun. As the yz 250x

Good videos!

Maybe a good medium for the test would be a 200 xcw. How come you guys haven't tested one of those bikes yet. Not sure how they would do with the elevation your at though. I think it would give a 250f a good run. I love your vids man.

Great riding bro! I give you credit for being able to talk and ride too! Not easy at all, especially with the technical riding you're doing in which case you're probably 90% of the time standing up.
Anyone who thinks a modern day 250 - 4 stroke is a "little" bike has ego issues. It's great 450s are offered to the general public but the philosophy of use for a 450 MX bike is for Pro/Expert, A and B riders who ride fast, need to clear 105' foot plus table top jumps or big triples, they also need that extra grunt for SX to be able to come out of corners with short distance to huge jumps and clear them. I'm willing to bet 99% of the riders on here are not doing that. However that's just my opinion. I don't let it bother me anymore. It's all about having safe fun and whatever takes you to that feeling, so be it.
You don't need to justify it, unless of course you're just proving a point by doing the comparisons which is cool. Just like our DNA is different, so is everyone's riding style.
