Murderbot Diaries (1 & 2) by Martha Wells

This is where I fail to say how great the audiobooks were narrated and instead repeat myself and the word interesting a bit too much. Nevertheless, go get on the series bandwagon, it's great!

I love, love, love Murderbot. The character is so compelling, extremely kind and dependable yet also a fairly thoroughgoing misanthrope. One of the scenes that has really stayed with me is when (in Artificial Condition) someone essentially snuggles up to it for comfort and murderbot is totally freaked out, but stays in position anyway. I think I read that volume 3 is going to be the conclusion, and I'm a little sad about this.

Not quite sure it's my cup of tea (idk, something about not being the biggest fan of robots?), but the first two are up on storytel (my audiobook subscription) so I think I'm going to give them a try soon :)

I "really really!" liked Murderbot #1 and am about a quarter of the way through #2 on audio, because of a previous review/ GR comment you made(?) that and my inbuilt cheapness. The novella even in "E- form" seemed expensive in a price-per-page way?
And as I had audible credits and my last 2 audiobooks had left me disappointed thought I'd go back to an old friend, someone I could rely on!
(Murderbot won't let me down?)
