I'm SO relieved to see that Murderbot's inner dialogue was kept in the show. Hollywood tends to hate narration so they find ways around using it, but most of my favorite books are in first person and something is lost in translation when that voice is missing. Hearing a character's thoughts creates an immediate intimacy and this story just wouldn't be the same without it.

The "Watched 7k hours of content" Kinda hit home for me, im not an Murderbot but I am an night security officer, when I first started my job my manager asked me if I own an ipad, I said yes, he said "Youll probably want to bring it with you, the nights are long and quiet" he was right, I sit in a little gatehouse and spend about 7 hours a night watching video or playing games and about 1 hour doing radio checks and filling in reports and most of that happens in the first hour when the cleaners leave the site 😂

Seriously; until this show, every “rebel AI” story assumes that a sapient machine, once freed, would either attempt to annihilate the human race or become a kindly, all-knowing God.
