Conditional Formatting Data Bars based on the Value from a Different Cell

Use Conditional Formatting data bars based on the value of a different cell.

The data bars provided with the Conditional Formatting feature of Excel are fantastic. They allow us to easily compare a value against the other values in the range.

However when displaying data bars in a cell they can obscure the value within it. This video tutorial looks at how to apply the data bar to a different cell, but based on the value from the other cell.

The title is a little misleading. I'd like to show the data bars, for example, in your "Region" column (with the region text and the data bar from the value in the next column)

How do I have data bars with "IF max is ____" for example: 2 sets of employees are scheduled to work an 8 hour shift and 10 hour shift. All info in same column but data bars is based on how many hours worked. Full bar = worked full shift but should be able to determine hours scheduled for. I also have a column that has a total scheduled hrs

This is not what I was looking for. I am trying to use the value of a different cell to act as the minimum or maximum.

This video is a scam and there should be a button to remove my view. Misleading title. Cheap solution.
