The front bumper on the miata is so badly oxidized, you might not even believe it’s painted, and the hood is nothing but a large pile of scratches. This week Zach tests 3 different methods of paint correction, from expensive and extensive, to quick, cheap, and…. Minty? Let’s see which method makes the most improvement on the miata’s ratty old paint!

It’s because it’s a “whitening toothpaste” on black paint. ☹️

this series is the only thing i know will be reliably informative and entertaining on youtube. please do not stop making videos with this guy in this format. don't change anything, don't add anything, don't "mix it up". just keep doing this. please.

So my neighbor has been a mechanic for 40 plus years and has taught me a lot of helpful tricks, he showed me that linch seed oil from any like hardware store like ace hardware or home depot or lowes will have it. You boil the oil and use a microfiber rag and lather it on the paint and you can also go ahead and buff it. The oil will revive the paint like it was from factory. I used it on my 2001 jeep cherokee sport and the forest green metallic looks amazing

"Waxing is one of the only times you're allowed to use circular motion."

Its a 2 stage process!
you're suppose to buff with the toothpaste & wash it off with moutwash.

For a new detailer i would recommend to use a long throw da as opposed to a rotary buffer as rotary takes lots of skill to get the best results. For the 3D most all in ones are pad dependant so for your heavier cut needs use a heavier cutting pad switch it out and with the same polish will get more out. I really like to see detailing videos from you guys as its a big part of the automotive hobby that everyone can enjoy and take pride in their vehicles regardless of what they have

Great that you did this, bro. I owned a car wash and detailing center here in the Philippines and I’ve been wanting to see you buff your mx5’s paint since you started this series. Lol

The amount of shine back in that bumper is the most satisfying thing I've seen all week.
