Lenox Hill hospital Medical Director Dr. Daniel Baker says maybe not. “We have medications that can help with some more moderate to severe symptoms...There are a lot of things that we can do to keep each other safe,” but with return to work and school, “we need to increase the dialogue.”

Two years ago today I was wondering if we'd ever get out of this pandemic. We've come a long way since then, but the pandemic is not over yet. My workplace is still requiring me and all my co-workers to wear masks, which I've gotten quite used to at this point

Thank you! This is so helpful in clearing up the confusion about whether Covid is still a threat. It's been so confusing lately. I still wear a mask when out in crowded areas, like the market. It just seems common sense to me. I definitely am going to get the new booster. I am 75 years old so any protection that is provided I'm grateful for it. There have been several people in my apartment building who have had Covid and refused to quarantine. So, why take chances?

I still have problems breathing since February when I had Covid, thank heavens for the vaccine, I had it, then caught Covid. I never reported it, so it is not counted, nor was my Son's.
I continue having the dry hacking cough, and always exhausted. I doubt I make it, if I were catch it again; due to my history of pneumonia 2-3 times a year; as I worked in a chemical plant, manufacturing integrated circuits. I have had my third shot, waiting for the new booster.

The difference between the flu and COVID is LONG COVID. How irresponsible to have this COVID discussion with no mention of long COVID and its disabilities, for which there is no treatment.
