Ron found 82 LBS of Spanish Gold bars in Arizona while treasure hunting for lost mines and buried treasures. Kelly Nielson shares with us Ron's story, how he met him and about the stories he told. Arizona has a lot of stories about hidden Spanish treasures, gold bars, mines etc, that have been the subject of a lot of treasure hunters research and expeditions. Ron just happens to be one that told his story so that we know about it. There are more that don't tell their stories than do, thanks Kelly for sharing with us.

Kelly hit the nail right on the head when he relayed what Ron Quinn Said, "Research is critical!" ...I'd say it's more like 90% research to 10% out in the field, but great story...

I am so glad to hear someone talk about the importance of research. I have been getting down on myself for spending all my time inside on the computer doing research instead of swinging my metal detector.

That’s a great point he brought up. Non disclosures are a reason not to talk about some things. Be great to listen to his stories when or if he can talk about things he can’t right now. It’s great to see more stories preserved for history rather then just ending up in the grave yard.

OMGOODNESS! TY for another Awesome video w/ Mr. Kelly! Now I can toggle between the two instead of re-watching the first one over and over and over again!

You two MEN are an awesome combination and a wealth of knowledge! It’s nice to actually get to see a video on a FOUND STASH for a change! Usually, unless we see them personally, we will only hear bits and pieces of stories. Thank you Gents for this!

Man I would completely flip out if I found just one of those bars of gold but to find 86 pounds is incredible. That's what dreams are made of for me. I live in northern New Mexico in the mountains and I have a few places I've found some stuff at and I'm busy working on figuring out what it all could mean. It would be a dream come true if I can find something substantial. Treasure hunting has always been in my blood I got it from my dad and he from his. It's a hard life at times but learning the history and being in the mountains is priceless.

I have that Treasure magazine of Ron Quinn. I knew that name sounded familiar. Lord It's Been Awhile! I was just in my storage yesterday, looking at my boxes of treasure magazines.

I've been down in that area a bit. Ground is super-hard. Lots of old cross-border traffic and legends. Planchas and bolas de plata is just one extra story to look up. Lots of unnamed stuff just to see stomping around. Lots of modern cross-border issues, too. Go armed.

This has been very helpful, and has opened up my mind on a few old sites I stumbled across.

A great story, I have read that most of the gold coming from South America had loads of copper in it.

Great video Terry. What metal detector did Ron use? I have a Whites Sierra Madre with a Blue Max coil.

I know one thing I live in the wrong part of the country as far as ever finding anything of value such as gold and silver. I live in Pennsylvania, in my early years I researched many Civil War sites such as the Dent Run treasure (recently found and stolen by the FBI), I searched for the famous Ledge of Silver along the Clarion River/Allegheny River area, Pit Hole ghost town and many more but never had a chance to spend much time West of the Mississippi. Though, I have many of those treasure magazines and have done lots of research, my travels have eluded me. These are better times since the 1970's with better technology and many more treasures are being unearthed. Keep up the good work and keep all your knowledge to yourself until ready to divulge it.

Hey Terry, thanks for your time/effort in creating & sharing such amazing content, it's much appreciated and...

...in your opinion, is/has it been possible to strike a balance between ensuring the person(s) benefit from keeping their discovery to themselves & the historical benefits of making the discovery known?

Kind regards
Jon
