If you have a Sonos system, you will be very excited to learn about the new Sub Mini. This ultra-compact subwoofer lets you add the foundation of bass to almost all Sonos home theater systems and most of their music systems. It is super easy to integrate and the improvements we experienced, especially on their soundbar systems, were just stunning. The Sub Mini can turn your Beam, Playbar, or Arc into a much bigger and fuller sounding system.

Just got the sub mini and paired with my beam gen 2 and 2 SL Ones's. My room is 12.6 by 20.6 ft. Trying to explain the quality of sound is a little difficult. The bass doesn't take over it just becomes immersive and blends seamlessly with the rest of the speakers to give a sound quality that is truly remarkable. If you want a bass that's going to shake and rattle the walls this is not what you need, get the sub gen 3. But if it's quality sound for movies and music that is just right this is the speaker for you. Many said adding the sub mini makes the beam gen 2 sound even better as it is not trying to put out bass and just worries with the mid-range and highs and they are spot on. This is one of the best purchases I have made to complete the sound with my sonos system.

I've always loved how the larger sub compliments the bigger bars. Now, those who have smaller spaces have a great option! Thanks for the video!

I've been wanting a sub to go with the Beam in my bedroom. This looks like it could be the perfect fit!

I currently have an Arc, 2 Play 1, and Sub 3 in my room that is 10x14 feet. Some say it's over kill and I am probably not getting the full Sonos experience but I do enjoy it. A Sub Mini would probably be best for my room and even getting a Beam instead of an Arc but I did it all on an impulse buy.

I just wish I knew how to get the most out of my setup, especially the surround sound.

I bought 2 Sonos 1 speakers and after trying to set them up I never use them again and that was 2 year ago. Crazy setup process

Will it work with non-Sonos speakers (Graham ls 6) and the Sonos amp? With a non-Sonos amp? Thanks.

So, seeing that you did not mention the ARC as an option, you don’t recommend the ARC with the mini?

What would you say is a better set up for a relatively small living room a Beam paired with the Sub Mini or a standalone Arc? It's pretty much the same price point.

How do they interact with the Sonos Amp?

I was going to set it up with a Beam Gen 2 in my 12 by 13 ft room my concern however is the subwoofer is gonna be overkill since there’s no real sound dampening in the room I’m putting it in

Impressive performance in a small package.

For $400 one could get 2 klipsch R-12SW subwoofers and still have cash to spare and have 1000x the BASS output and dynamic range.

They haven't yet fixed the bass problem with the Sub gen 3, which rather suspiciously appeared in an update just before the announcement of the sub mini

I think it wouldn't make sense for Sonos to have (2) sub mini's in a setup. Why? Because you can buy the Gen3 which is equivalent to two of those. The whole point of the mini is to balance the right amount of lows with the Beam and Ray.

I prefer the bald guy doing the reviews of Sonos products!

I can guarantee that sonos hasn't sold " millions" of ANY product they've made. It would take way too long to make even a million soundbars like the Sonos because there not made by a machine. There all each specifically made by humans and each soundbar takes a few hours to days to make. Depending on color. It would take the manufacturer 5 years to make 1 million soundbars at a rate of 548 soundbars a day. That's pushing it.
