This scene is pure cinema, right after Paul told his mother that they were going to survive as harkonnen all the strong orange tone of arrakis disappears and becomes an almost black and white, like harkonnen planet

The color palate change, the Harkonnen overtones with the original theme, got damn this scene is denser than lead. Even the heat waves off the black, like everything is too much, and Paul just strides through it.

I really love the shots made from 0:36 on.

POV perspective of Paul walking towards what is essentially a dense wall of people.

0:40 a Fedaykin laying hand on his knife, as if preparing to draw it while everyone else is staring Paul down.
Since a Crysknife isn't sheathed again until it draws blood, him drawing it would symbolize a battle to the death.
Just to let Paul pass the first row of people.

0:47 This whole sequence of Paul having to essentially go through walls of people, having to look each and everyone single one of them in the eye before they allow him to walk past.

1:03 The entire shot from above, as we realize that these aren't walls or crowds.

It's a microcosm of the entire Fremen society.
In the books there are lines about how the Fremen sieve people the same way they sieve spice from sand, only the best passing and surviving.
This shot showing Paul passing through the Fremen assembled before he makes his way past the Reverend Mothers is essentially just that, shown instead of told.

Great visual story telling. He's wearing the black cowl(Harkonnen color)over the Fremen white. He's fully embraced his darker vengeful desires. In the book, he could have won this war but he wouldnt have gotten his revenge, so he chose the path that gives him both. But in doing so starts the Jihad..That further solidifies him as more of a villain than a fallen hero.

Dune Part 2 was and is the only movie to give me chills AND goosebumps. Pure epicness. One of the greatest Sci-fi movies ever released. Perfect sequel.
