With the block targets, you can undo the wrap, split the target in the middle and rotate the top end and the bottom end to be the middle, and then saran wrap the whole target again, giving you new material in the center and putting the shot up material on the edges.

I love my Yellow Jacket bag, gets lots of use hanging from a target hanger I built from PVC, I also have a deer, turkey and pig target that are great for simulating hunting shots. I use the 18-1 Rhinehart for bringing to hunting camp for verifying sights etc or for idle work in camp, often times I like to get two or three shots in before heading out on an evening hunt, just to make sure everything's working right.

I know I’m super late to this, would just like to add on the tan block if you were going to get that one just know block recommends to shoot Broadhead specifically through the bottom or top. This is because the foam is layered differently on the inside of the target and it damages it a lot less if you do it this way we have had a blocked target for over three years, shooting Broadhead and field points in it all year round and it has very little signs of damage whatsoever.

Bulldog is the best field tip target, easiest to pull and lifetime free replacement faces. They have sales all the time making them very affordable too.
A notable mention to Rinehart - I broke a sevr inside their 18-1 target when it caught the nylon rope handle inside the foam, and they sent me a replacement target no charge.
Btw sevr also sent me a replacement broadhead too.

It just depends on what you're shooting and what you're looking for. Thanks Kramer for the series! I've used a couple of these that you showed, your reviews were pretty spot on with my experiences. My nine year old has a cheap foam one with a baseball theme for kids. I like it pretty well for about twenty dollars. The face will wear out pretty quick but we can tape it.

I use old shirts and rags stuffed in a cardboard box and it works good for any broadheads except for ones like the G5 Montec or any with blades that angle backwards. They get tangled in the fabric. I shoot Swhackers so it works perfect for me.

The easiest is a cardbord box filled with old clothes. If it wears out replace the box and reshuffel the clothes.
If made a wooden frame with plywood, the front is a 80x80cm big bag / woven plastic cloth, it's the only part that needs replacing veery now and then, but it costs near to nothing. Filled it with clothes and I shuffel those around when ever I find a spot that is deformed to much. It's packed pretty tight and 30cm deep to prevent any arrow reaching the end with a wooden backstop (I mainly shoot crossbows in my backyard and can't risk anything passing through).

I got the Hurricane a year ago at a local outdoor chain, and it was like $36 but had a mail in rebate for $15, so it was super cheap!

Lubing your arrows will also aid in prolonging the life of the target as well as making it easier to pull the arrows out.

One thing to note with the bag targets is they are not outsert friendly. I have the yellow jacket bag target and the the outserts would prevent me from pulling the arrow out. I ended up getting the black hole target which has been great. I have the black hole target hanging so that helps absorb energy and prevents it from falling over.
