Searching for Madrid’s Secret Chinese Restaurant

Underneath a plaza in Madrid lies one of Spain’s greatest culinary secrets. Cafetería Yulong Zhou is home to some of the best Chinese food in the country. Getting there, however is another story. With no exact address or email, trying to find the restaurant takes some expert sleuthing. With the help of a friend and a hint, we embarked on the journey. Spoiler alert: the dumplings made the trek totally worth it.

Interesting. Lisbon, Portugal has many secret/hidden Chinese restaurants as well but theirs are kind of illegal and operate out of apartments as opposed to public commercial spaces like this one. Cool video. 👍

This Chinese Restaurant, called "El Chino de la plaza españa" because of it's location, is not a secret, that a lot of people that go there everyday, but it is pretty hidden. Also, it is traditional, but far from be the best in town. If someone need tips, let me know.

OMG I'm so shocked I got to watch that in this channel. I live in Madrid and the key to this restaurant's success is the location and the price (most of the menu is under 5€). Also the service is the fastest ever. You literally get your meal in under 3 minutes. I recently found another "secret chinese restaurant" which isn't on google maps and serves incredible chinese food that doesn't taste like MSG and isn't super greasy like this one. It's in the corner opposite to the Desperate Literature bookstore. It's about 10€ per person. The only con is that the service is really slow (but super nice), but the food tastes so honest I feel it's worth the wait

I am a chinese girl who lives in Madrid, the food they make is from my hometown and I am familiar with it. There are way better places in Madrid, most chinese people would either go to usera or other restaurants in the city centre
