How to Change The Air Filter for Fellowes AeraMax 200/300 Air Purifiers

Thank you for using the Fellowes AeraMax 200 or 300 air purifiers to clean the air in your home clean. Regularly changing the air purifier filters helps maintain the quality of your indoor air. Here are some simple instructions to help you replace filters.

1. Locate the filter drawer on the right side of your air purifier
2. Compress the tabs and completely pull out the filter drawer
3. If your air purifier is on, it will automatically shut off
4. Remove and discard both the dirty HEPA and carbon filters
5. Insert the new carbon filter first
6. Insert the HEPA filter
7. Slide the filter drawer and click it into place

Resetting the Filter Replacement Indicator Light

The AeraMax 200 and 300 comes with a change filter indicator to let you know when the filter needs replacing. This indicator must be reset after filters are changed.

1. Make sure the filter panel is secure and the air purifier is on
2. Press and hold both the filter icons for about three to five seconds until you hear a shrill beep
3. The indicator lights should turn off

Got a 200 model five years ago (!) and it's been absolutely fantastic. I run it at full blast while I sleep, with the air aimed right in my face and sleep like a baby. It's worked better than any air cleaner I've ever owned and I've tried them all. The only problem I've ever had was a bad power switch but I just replaced it myself. Easy for someone handy with DIY electronics. Not recommended for everyone, of course. But that's the only problem I've had and that was nearly five years into owning it. So I'm thrilled with that reliability. Even having it all apart to work on it, the guts look great, almost new, and very well built. Could not be happier with it, honestly. It's just perfect.

Ahhhh my god!! Finalement après 1 an, grâce à cette vidéo, j'ai compris comment éteindre l'indicateur du filtre carbon. Quand je lis dans le manuel les indications de changement de filtre, nul part c'est indiqué comment éteindre l'indicateur et j'aurais jamais pensé que ces indicateurs était un bouton 😮. Je croyais que mon purificateur était défectueux. En regardant le manuel en ligne, je me suis aperçu qu'il était plus complet que le manuel qui était compris dansa boîte.... Bizarre

Mine is 3 years ago. Used constantly during the winter. No filter lights ever came on. The HEPA filter is see through clean. The carbon filter looks very dirty. I just ordered the 4 pack of carbon filters. I just don’t see any need to change the HEPA. Looks like the carbon filter is catching everything. What’s wrong?

Will add that it is a well made machine. Only noisy when the amber and then the red light comes on for max fan. Otherwise, very quiet for sleeping.

Hi! I got a new aeramax 300. When I switch it on, it does not work. All lights turn on and then turn off, and the fan speed indicators start flashing.
