Excellent concept. The only suggestion I can offer would be to pour about a quarter inch of resin into the bottom of the channel for starters. Then the tabs would appear to float above the wood base. And I would do coins. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and continue to stay healthy.

Hi Ed.... lovely looking bowl... great way to include resin in a bowl without breaking the bank ( we are not all total boat turners. Haha ) ... I agree with the use of ca glue ... coins would be cool or little action figures ... great video...All the best....Andy

It's pretty! Maybe using some star bond would have worked or possibly a tiny flood of resin letting it get tacky then putting in the tabs. Great Job! So glad Doug put your link in one of his videos. I love watching wood turning it's peaceful!

Ed, your problem was the uv light could not reach the glue from the top. If you had used 1mm clear plexiglass and worked the light from the outside; you would not have had a problem. Excellent turn!
