the best part of this is the fact that one of them says “my wife left me!”
it just feels so surreal seeing a line like that in a mario game

Is it weird that, as ridiculous and messed up as this whole thing is, I actually find the Luigi line kind of sweet? I know that the Toads like Luigi, it just isn't often expressed, and they rarely compare him favorably to Mario. That Toad just implied that Luigi would be better at something than Mario. For an IN-UNIVERSE character to say that is really something. Maybe the characters are starting to appreciate him more.
