Anycubic Kobra Go setup tips

Peeps have been asking how I manage to get such good prints from my Kobra Go. I decided to create this video based upon the testing that it took for me to dial in the Kobra Go. The video can be used for verification if you're having printing issues or to assist with setting up the printer. I recommend following the setup tips in order. Sold my Anycubic Kobra Go a couple of weeks ago. #sadface
I've done it due to constant problems with the BLTouch sensor.

I've already told you about it once. The wire failure resulted in an intermittent signal that I couldn't rely on. Couldn't even finish bed levelling. Tried to fix it, partially succeeded, but the problem reappeared. Don't have access to soldering, nor do I have any experience in it, so I decided it wasn't worth a fuss and sold it all together.

Sold it for 190$ and bought a regular Kobra for 220$ yesterday due to a discount.
Don't worry, though. I'm not going anywhere as long as your content stays relevant, well structured, and deeply analysed.

Interesting. Thank you for making the video. I had a couple of red errors, bed leveling, the other one that said something err-. I was going to let the printer go but I gave it another look. The belts were loose tighten those up works pretty good for me. I found your video days later and we are in the same FB group I looked and looked in the group nothing of the sorts, for my issue. Then today bam you hit this out the park. When I feeling like fine tuning definitely going to do of these.

Could you make a video explaining how tight the z axis wheels need to be? I'm thinking that might be a lot of my problem. I'm not sure and I don't want to over tighten or leave them to loose.

Thank you for the tips. I have a Kobra Neo. The prints are very hit-and-miss. I will follow your tips, and hopefully, I will improve my prints. I also have Kobra 2 Max, will these tips apply to that printer as well? Thanks again.

Great videos... seems the GO is a forgotten printer.
I've been having a problem but I can't get rid of. I have a banding line (a bulge) in both on the y and z axis. It wraps all 4 surfaces.
It repeats in the exact same spot on all prints.
Wheels adjusted..belts adjusted..

Hmm, just a quick question. When you tension the belts, how would you do the Y-axis belt?

Your videos are really helping me out as I am a real novice here. Having a lot of trouble getting the builds to stick to the base. Get about halfway done and then they start to move. So far I have cleaned the bed, then leveled the bed and made sure the temperature is just above 60, but to no avail. Any suggestions? Also is it possible to get a copy of the file for the belt jig? Trying to cross my Ts -- so to speak.

Wondering if you had any issues with E-steps. Out of the box the default for my Kobra 2 was 463.09 which seemed rather high but upon calibrating it I found I needed to go up to 475.63. But then on prints I had MASSIVE over extrusion and had to reduce my flow rate in Cura to 65%. This seemed way out of whack. I did a little calculation and figured that 65% of the default was right around 305 so I reset my E-steps to 305 and sure enough my flow rate is spot on and extrusion is super smooth now. I've done E-step calibration many times and never had this sort of result. really odd behaviour.

Nice man, Subbed. Just got one on Saturday.. Got some good prints, but i still require Input! 😄 One question i have, Is it common to have a -2.22 Zaxis offset? Mine is that much...! I bought this from a Hobbyist who was huge into 3d printing and had multiple machines, he told me that it was brand new and he'd just assembled it to make sure it worked. So i'd assume that the Assembly wasn't and issue. Or is a -2.2 offset not all that bad? LOL sorry thats more than 1 question..

I can’t seem to be able to get the rollers above and below the x-axis motor to tighten down. I’ve cranked down on the screw holding them in but it doesn’t seem to be tightening the rollers to the vertical track. Any help on what I’d be missing?

Hi i just got the kobra go for christmas and i have yet to get a semi decent print off of it. I tried a 20mm cube and had layer shift. I attempted the owl before that and could not get any bed adhesion no matter what i tried. Ive checked belt tension, i have tried 3 different slicers (cura, astroprint, prusa) and no matter what i do i have failed prints.

Man, love your videos. However, my go is driving me crazy, just when I think everything is good, I get massive layer shifts. Especially if I print from cura, only slicer that gives me decent prints (sometimes) is orca slicer

I've got an anycubic go. I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I've never touched a 3d printer before. I've watched their assembly video and am watching your tips and other videos. Anything I should know as a complete noob?

Have you updated your firmware on this machine? I’m having trouble updating mine. My shop pc won’t run cura and my MacBook keep having “connection issues”
