I thought I was never going to have kids bc we've been together for five years and nothing. A few weeks ago my friend thought she might be pregnant because she had discharge. We go buy a pregnancy test that had two tests and I was like you one and me one. In my head I was thinking her's will be positive and mine negative (like always, mine negative). She came out that bathroom happy because she really wasn't ready for another kid & I came out breathless, impacted, happy, scared, super excited just to see a fainted positive. I haven't had an ultrasound yet but I keep seeing twin things A LOT & my mother in law called my husband not to long ago saying she had a dream of recieving three babys. I am now almost twelve weeks & we are very happy.

So sad to lose a child or in your case two. Do Not allow anyone to downplay your loss. You & your family need to give yourself the time & permission (in some cases) to mourn. When you are ready you will become pregnant again & very nervous. It’s hard but normal. Bless you all & take whatever time YOU need. Not the time other people tell you is appropriate. Life goes on & you will recover but your next baby will be your second or your fourth & that is up to the two of you.

To you and all other mothers who have suffered such loss, I offer you my sincerest condolences. My wife and I have lost 4 babies over the years and I do know the pain. Grieve how you must, but know that after grief comes joy, and often other healthy babies. I have two children today all these years later.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my very first pregnancy (after two years of trying) earlier this month, and it's a hard thing to contend with, the idea of loss but also hope that things CAN happen. As far as genetics go, you CAN inherit twin genes from your father's side. It won't affect his own chances of getting someone pregnant with twins, but it can affect his female descendants' ability to conceive twins.
