NATO chief calls for significant boost in arms for Ukraine

Ukraine needs a "significant increase" in weapons at a pivotal moment in Russia's invasion and such support is the only way to a negotiated peaceful solution, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on Wednesday.

Defence leaders from around 50 countries and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will hold talks at Germany's Ramstein Air Base on Friday, the latest in a series of meetings since Russian forces swept into Ukraine nearly 11 months ago.

Remember the 1994 Budapest Memorandum! If Ukraine does not win this war, all nations who have signed/supported this Memorandum, including China!, have signaled other nations to have and/or keep nuclear weapons, because a memorandum will not protect a country, but nuclear weapons will.

You have to be careful when you assert the war will end in negotiations. Negotiations ONLY start when both sides are pushed back into their own county (i.e. Russians out of ALL Ukrainian territory). No Russian blackmail of Ukrainian land for peace.

Russia needs to be told clearly and without question that the free world will not tolerate Russia's criminal aggression in Ukraine and that whatever aid is necessary to secure Ukraine's sovereign freedom will be provided, including military aid if necessary to do so. Russia can then decide, if it wants to go to war with the entire free world combined against them. There is no victory of any kind for Russia to find in its criminal actions.
