ANTIGUA FREE WALKING TOUR | Best coffee in Antigua, Guatemala

As I learned on my Antigua Free Walking Tour, most Guatemalans don't consider Antigua to be a part of Guatemala - even though it is, of course. I also found the best coffee in Antigua.

Antigua, Guatemala used to pretty much be the capital of Central America. It's also the perfect place to stay during your travel to Guatemala. Here are some of the sights in the city and other things to do in Antigua, Guatemala!

Food and drink are fairly inexpensive here, as you might expect. But if you decide to get a coffee in Antigua's Central Park, expect to pay for it! My favorite coffee was at Cafe Barista. Now, I'm sure there's FAR better coffee at a plantation, but this is the best I had of all the coffee I tried in the shops.

Don't hate me if there's a better brew. I'm sure there is. ☕😀

Backpackers and other travelers on a budget would do well to walk a little farther from the city center to the local cafes and coffee houses. Even some of the local hostels have excellent food and you can eat a full meal (sometimes too much food) for $5-6 USD or less.

Guess what? We bought a NEW MICROPHONE! So in upcoming videos (after Guatemala) the audio will hopefully be perfect. Sorry about the audio quality in a couple of sections here.

Sorry but that tour guide gave you the wrong information about people from Guatemala liking their coffee weak. I was born there and parents give their kids coffee as young as five years of age, so you develop a high tolerance very young. She doesn’t what she’s talking about.
