Taiwan continues monitoring Chinese military drills in second day of simulated military attacks

Taiwan’s defence ministry is monitoring military drills conducted by China in its second day of simulated attacks on the island.

There are reports 20 ships – half from Taiwan and half from China – are engaged in a standoff near Taiwan Strait’s median line.

China’s three-day military exercises around Taiwan are in response to President Tsai Ing-Wen’s visit to the United States.
