Here's information from a medical website:
Persistent testicular pain (PVPS) is the most frequent vasectomy complication that can adversely affect quality of life. Because of this, it should be included in the vasectomy consent process. Due to a lack of prospective data and differing definitions for post-vasectomy pain, consensus on incidence has not been reached. In available studies, a wide range of incidence from 14-33% is reported for any testicular pain after vasectomy. A smaller group of patients, 1-5%, have severe pain that affects quality of life or sexual function. A conservative estimate for chronic PVPS of 1-5% of vasectomized men may be warranted based on available data, but the overall incidence may be higher.

I did it a little over 14 years ago at age 27 and I noticed a big difference in the way ejaculation felt. Regardless of what the video said, it felt like I lost all my testosterone. The only time I feel normal is when I'm on testosterone now. The wrong feeling I get with ejaculation has never went away.

Why don't they address the real affliction of post-vasectomy pain syndrome? It is devastating and life-long. I had additional painful surgeries they didn't help. Now my only choice is to have the testicle removed or get de-nerved. Each procedure is like 6K. Doctors don't tell you about this cause it is such a money maker for them. Look up how many PVPS clincs are out there to really see how prevalent this is. I regret the decision everyday, so does my wife.

Be careful, gents. I had one many years ago and it has been years of testicular pain. During the procedure, the pain got so bad it made me pass out cold. When I came to, they had my shirt open and would not tell me what had happened. When I asked the nurses, they said they couldn't say; they told me to ask the doctor. Afterwards, the pain in my left nut started immediately and did not decrease for around 5 years. When I confronted my doctor, he said the pain was in my head. He then walked out of the room and would not talk to me again.

Since then, any time I ride a bike too long, work out too hard, lift weights, or just play too hard, the pain comes back. Sometimes it is bad enough to make me feel nautious. It definitely reduced my sex drive and sex was never the same -- NEVER. This ruined not just my sex life but my overall life and marriage.
